Ethical concerns around AI and Writing ChatGPT Prompts!

FRIDAY, June 19, 1:00 PM–2:30 PM CST (2PM EST, 11AM PST)

Ethical concerns abound with the rise of AI. Current datasets have more data on dominant populations and are more likely to exhibit bias against minorities. Grant writers are increasingly turning towards using AI as a tool for efficiently coming up with narratives (and to overcome the occasional writer’s block!). Meena Das, a people-first, nonprofits-and-agencies speaker + consultant + trainer at the forefront of data equity in North America, will share how we can center community when we speak of AI and what is the formula for ethical + effective ChatGPT prompts. In operationalizing our values (ensuring values are reflected in our systems and processes), we can exhibit and model socially equitable language, reflect the true dignity of the communities we serve, and bring about narrative change.
