Collective Actions/Advocacy/MTGW Program 2024:
We’ve noted some common themes in the questions and comments you’ve provided us over the last few months. Time to channel some of that energy into constructive action! Check out our evergreen list of things we want to work on to get a sense of what you might like to practice your collective power in. If you have an idea to add, or an initiative we could support, drop us a line! Come prepared to meet cool people and collaborate!
Who’s in the room?
Practicing collective power is not easy, and our advice is to lean into your joy! Check out Deepa Iyer’s Social Change Ecosystem Map (page 4) to understand your strengths and potential contributions in the social change process.
* If you have an idea for a collective action and would like to lead the discussion, let us know!
**This particular meeting will not be recorded.
CCF Principles at work in this meeting:
#1. Fundraising must be grounded in race, equity, and social justice.
#6. We treat donors as partners, and this means that we are transparent, and occasionally have difficult conversations.
#8. We promote the understanding that everyone (donors, staff, funders, board members, volunteers) personally benefits from engaging in the work of social justice – it’s not just charity and compassion.
#9. We see the work of social justice as holistic and transformative, not transactional.
